Summary: In accordance with plans and policies established by the Board of Directors functions within the medical setting as a member of the Service Team in providing patient with quality dental care procedures including diagnosis, recommendations and treatment; assisting in development of in-Center preventative programs or community outreach programs; serves on appropriate Center committees; staff development and training in preventative programs. Maintain current knowledge in the field and is willing to keep up-to-date through continuing medical education. Duties and Responsibilities: The authority and duties of the Dentist shall include but not be limited to: To provide direct dental care, this includes exam and diagnosis, x-ray, placements and restoration, construction of prosthesis, teeth extractions, and root canal therapy; To provide consultation to Executive Director regarding planning,  evaluation and development dental services; To coordinate dental services with other professional services; To maintain accurate, timely and up-to-date patient files and records; To maintain cognizance of state and federal regulations and to effect Center compliance for reporting, licensing and code requirements; To participate in meetings,  conferences,  and committees to develop and maintain high quality health care and complete patient care plans and reviews; To maintain records, files, logs and reports in accordance with Center policy; To maintain and care for equipment; To perform other duties as required.
