OMS Administrative Assistant (Req. 27311)
Initiate and coordinate patient care to accommodate the needs of the patient, the availability of the care provider team, and the resource limitations of the clinic and UCLA. The incumbent is also responsible for the identification, clarification, authorization, insurance claim submission, and insurance claim follow up of all medical and dental treatment services provided. Furthermore, the incumbent is required to create, maintain, update and retrieve complete patient records. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for the cashiering and other operational duties of the clinic as assigned by the incumbent's supervisor and the administration team.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Oral Surgery terminology, procedures and surgeries.
• Demonstrated skill to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, residents, faculty and patients.

-Professionally greet patients and provide a warm, welcoming visit for them
-Efficiently and effectively coordinate patient appointments and insurance benefits
-Assist patients in understanding their dental benefits
-Work with insurance companies to gather patient eligibility, predeterminations and payments
-Comfortably review treatment plans, and insurance predeterminations, as well as set up payment arrangements with patients
- Ensure office HIPPA compliance
-Great customer service and excellent communicator both in person, on the phone and through email
-Organized, timely, detailed and reliable
-Ability to multitask and work as a team
-Confident and knowledgeable with technology, computers, social media, etc.
-Previous dental experience. Knowledge of the dental software Eaglesoft is a plus.
